Isabella Arras is a multidisciplinary storyteller who primarily works in the theatre, film, and literary fields. She graduated magna cum laude from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Theatre and a Minor in Creative Writing. She trained in the Playwrights Horizons Studio and completed a semester abroad at the National Film & Television School in the UK. During her time at NYU, Isabella also had the opportunity to do an Advanced Poetry program in Florence, Italy. Upon her graduation, she was awarded the Founders' Day Award from NYU for her consistent outstanding scholarship.

Her work as a theatre maker often features devising techniques and movement-based storytelling. For productions like Fault Line and Sacrifices, she also interviewed survivors of domestic violence & abuse and veterans to inform the piece. Throughout her artistic journey, Isabella has found that creating art, whether it be a production or a poem, both serves as a way to tell her own story as well as the stories of those who may struggle to do so for themselves.

Being the child of two passionate lawyers, Isabella grew up watching her parents tirelessly advocate for their often misunderstood and overlooked clients. Although it may seem like she chose a wildly different path from her parents, Isabella finds her work as a storyteller to be a form of advocacy for those unable or in need of support to tell their own stories. She believes that storytelling is one of the most powerful tools to expose injustice and inequality as well as way to promote the importance of empathy, human connection, and healing. It is her hope that her work encourages others to share their stories and inspires positive change.
